Babolat Aero Storm GT

The Aero Storm GT is an update of the Babolat Aero Storm and weapon of choice for WTA Superstar Dinara Safina. Like its predecessor the Aero Storm, the Aero Storm GT is also control-oriented, allowing players to generate plenty of spin from the baseline. At the net, the mobility of the racquet allows players to move easily around the court to reach wide volleys and a range of shots.
In contrast to the AeroPro line, the Aero Storm GT sports a thinner beam to orient additional control for solid players. The addition of GT technology utilizing braided carbon and tungsten fibers provides players with even more precision, power, and feel over the prior model. Cortex dampening and Woofer shock dissipation is still among the priorities of the newer frame to ensure the continual smooth feel from its line. The Aero Storm GT is a great option for a 4.0+ player looking for a frame to provide them with pinpoint accuracy and comfort.

Personal Experience

Like it’s heavier brother, the Aero Storm GT is a control player’s delight with an arm and shoulder friendly swing weight (324). It’s virtually identical to the Babolat Aero Storm Tour GT in every specification, just a hair lighter.
That low weight makes the Babolat Aero Storm GT a great frame for the aggressive baseliner looking to bash or those looking for a serving frame that won’t have you running for the ice pack after a long match. Feel players or Fabrice Santoro-wannabees will really like this one, too. Groundies oozed with precision and spin was customarily solid, as we’ve come to expect from Babolat’s spin-generating frames. Topspin climbed to at least shoulder height with a good swing, and slices hugged the ground at knee-scraping heights. Balls won’t explode into total fuzz leftovers for non-power players with this frame. But those not needing help in the power department would sure benefit from the premium control features of this racquet, which employs the GT (Graphite/Tungsten) braided technology. The Aero Storm GT racquet has a bit more dampened feel than the Tour GT. And like its brother, the Aero Storm really shines in the mobility department.
Those half volleys or quick on-the-rise pick-ups that tend to be so problematic with those heavier sticks? They were a snap with this frame. Recommended for 4.0 and up players with medium to fast swingspeeds.

Great Racket

Today was my first day getting to use this racket. Every shot was clean and felt solid. The grip that comes with the racket isn't ideal for me, because it feels pasty, but adding an overgrip solves this tiny problem. This racket fits my game well, and the extra weight compared to most rackets I've handled makes me feel like it gives the ball more power. Definitely try this racket out.

Babolat AeroPro Team GT

A new addition to the Aero lineup as Babolat introduces the AeroPro Team GT. Players will love the spin potential on this frame. The 16x19 open string pattern combined with the unique Aero frame construction will provide spin oriented players with an addiction for added spin, especially baseline players who love to hit with lots of topspin. The Cortex embedded shaft attunes in conjunction with Woofer crescent moon shaped grommets to maximize string bed response and siphon away discomforting vibrations to give Babolat fans the feel and comfort they know and love.
The 10.4 ounce strung weight will allow the AeroPro Team GT to be a perfect frame for junior players transitioning to an adult sized frame as well as adult players in need of a highly maneuverable frame from an aeromodular design with plenty of pop. The Aeropro Team GT will benefit players looking for more pace on serve and groundstrokes. The new GT technology from Babolat combines a hybrid material of braided carbon and tungsten fibers to reduce torque upon impact, resulting in cleaner, more powerful and precise shots. The AeroPro Team GT is a frame we recommend for NTRP rating 3.5 and up players.

Personal Experience

The new Aero Pro Team GT feels like a feather, weighing in at a mere 9.9 ounces unstrung. But despite the low weight, it still hits like a beast.
You’ll have no problem whipping this baby through the strikezone on those rapid-fire reflex volleys or getting around on your teaching pro’s big serve .
This racquet is ideal for beginners, women and young juniors looking to find a frame they can wield effortlessly yet still hit out on without becoming prime candidates for arm fatigue. Like many of the other incarnations of the Aero Pro series, it’s got the mid-plus 100 square inch headsize and 16 x 19 string pattern, which makes it an ideal spin candidate.
This racquet really spoke volumes at the net where its low weight and firm feel were put to excellent use in high putaways and quick back-and-forth exchanges. From the back of the court, this racquet still ploughed through the court with ease.
In the hands of a crafty spin maestro, this racquet could make life miserable for opponents. The superior maneuverability of this frame makes placement and targeting a simpler task.
AEROPRO TEAM GT TENNIS RACQUETSI don’t often play with a racquet this light, but the Aero Pro Team GT made me revise my thinking about what lightweight frames are capable of.

I was using a Head Ix6 previous, demod the team GT and was hooked. Some growing pains getting used to a smaller head but have to say it is getting better with each play. Groundstrokes are deep and heavy and accuracy is much improved. Still light enough to react well at the net. When you get the sweet spot on serves and overheads the ball explodes. Great upgrade for this 4.0 doubles player...

This new racquet is really awesome especially when you use your forehand and serve. Since it is a plus one, it will be better when you are two-handed backhand.
