Head YouTek IG Extreme Pro
The heaviest of the Extreme family, the new Head YouTek IG Extreme Pro features a similar mold as its lighter brother but a more hefty feel and different string spacing. Featuring the new Innegra technology, which utilizes the low density, high modulus melt-spun fibers to increase the strength of the racquet for more consistent playability over the life of the racquet. Another benefit to the Innegra fiber is that its unique flex characteristic effectively dampens vibration for enhanced comfort. The YouTek IG Extreme Pro still features the YouTek technology which is designed to adapt to situations to give players the appropriate response based on the situation. This is accomplished using the d3O smart material, which firms up on faster swings for enhanced control and stability while remaining softer for increased feel on touch shots. Head has worked to increase the aerodynamics of the frame by changing the throat cross section from its standard elliptical beam to a slightly more triangular cross section. It should be noted that the Extreme Pro plays significantly stiffer than the Extreme MP. This racquet is great for stronger players that want a bit more weight than the classic tweener frames.Get Your Head YouTek IG Extreme Pro Here At the Lowest Price!

Head is on top of the game with a new release of the Innegra (IG) line of racquets, as it builds on last year’s popularized Youtek
technology. The new cosmetic application is definitely toned down from
its solid bright yellow, eye popping cousin. Providing an enhanced soft
yet solid feel, players will find the newer model to be much more than
simply a new paintjob to nail home the point.

Groundstrokes:
To say the least, the frame was remarkably
interesting to play with. I generally do not generate very much spin on
my backhand however this racquet provided easy topspins on my backhand
and all other areas of the court. The rounded shape of the head widens
up the sweet spot just a tad bit for easier access to spin and pop. It
gave me enough control to move into the court and finish off points,
perfect for players who love to take large loopy spin oriented swings at
the ball.
Volleys:
My volleys were nice and solid well within the
line, but I did find that it was harder to place the ball where I
needed. The racquet felt a little too lively and unstable at the net, a
little difficult to control. With a less headlight weight distribution,
the racquet proved to be a bit more challenging to maneuver as well,
especially at critical points at the net. The low headlight weight made
the frame feel almost “clunky” and hard to me to remain mobile on the
court.
Serves:
I found this racquet to have too much in power
when it came down to my serves. I couldn’t go all out on my serves as I
would with most first serves, thus I had to tone down on the power level
to a more moderate swing. I could put my kicks on the ball without a
problem, but when it came to my precision the racquet was a little
unpredictable.
Overall:
The new matrix in the Youtek IG Extreme Pro does feel more dampened than the original Youtek Extreme Pro. I also like the Hydrosorb Tour Grip replacing
the traditional leather. The classic feel on the racquet is nice but
with that much power coming off that string bed, it’s nice to have a
higher level of cushioning for a smoother shot and less forearm
discomfort. This racquet had a little too much power for me but I was
able to make up for that by adding additional spin to my groundstrokes. I
would recommend this racquet for any 4.0 level or higher player or if
you are looking for increased spin generation on your shots.
Great feel with extra power
User: Martin T, TX

I have now been playing
with the Head Extreme Pro now for over two months. The racquet offers
great control and feel with my volleys and good power from the baseline.
I really feel the power on my serve and with a good amount of spin due
to the 16/19 string pattern. The neck has been given a more triangular
shape on the interior section, which in my opinion, provides a stiffer
feel. I also prefer the new synthetic grip apposed to the leather grip
on the previous model.
Head YouTek IG Radical Pro
This is not just your old frame, this is the all new Head YouTek IG Radical Pro. While it may share the name of its predecessor, it shares few features. The head size has been reduced to a more typical 98 square inches, while the string spacing has been altered for a more traditional feel. At 10.9 ounces unstrung, this frame is made for aggressive players and rewards versatility and creativity. The YouTek IG Radical Pro also takes advantage of Innegra fibers that are integrated throughout the frame, providing strength, stability, and comfort thanks to their unique characteristics. Just so this frame does not seem entirely alien, the d3O material remains, allowing the frame to flex based on the speed of the swing. On court, our testers were excited by the changes to the Radical Pro,and felt that this was a serious step up from the older version. This one really felt like a heavier, spin-friendly version of the midplus, instead of like a completely separate racquet.

Shipping was fast, and
the racquet performs very well. I used 60lb tension strings and the
racquet is working great! Grip length is very comfortable. I recommend a
dampener but its fantastic once you get used to it.
Head YouTek IG Prestige Pro
Improving a racquet is not always easy, but the Head YouTek IG Prestige Pro makes it looks easy. Retaining the same control and stability, the addition of Innegra technology
has made the racquet even more comfortable. The specialized fibers are
integrated with the graphite matrix to do a number of things. These
include strengthening the frame without increasing the weight, but most
importantly reducing the vibration. One of the unique features of the YouTek IG Prestige Pro
compared to the Mid and Midplus versions is a more spin-friendly 16x19
string pattern. The open pattern also helps to provide a bit more power
without ruining the feel that the Prestige line is known for.
Versatility is the goal of this racquet thanks to the d3O smart material
which is design to react to the player's swing. On court, our testers
were surprised by the level of power on groundstrokes and noticed a
major difference in feel from the previous version. The spin of the more
open pattern allowed some of our testers to feel more comfortable at
the net as well.

The Modern Players Racket
User: Timothy Russell, Texas

From the moment I held
the racket I knew that this frame was going to play great. As I do
with my students I start my days off with 5 minutes of mini tennis. I
normally don’t like heavier frames such as this one but the first thing I
noticed was even with the extra heft the frame was still fairly
maneuverable. The feel off of the groundstrokes were impressive.
Access to spin is great, but when I really wanted to flatten my shot out
I found it easy to transition. Serves felt amazing, especially on the
second serve. With the open string pattern I did not have to use to
much effort to hit my kick or slice serve. Volleys were solid all
around as well. With the weight behind the racket, I felt like most of
my volleys were super solid. I think this racket suits the modern
strokes perfectly. If you have a real aggressive windshield wiper
forehand, or a long backswing with an extended follow-through I would
recommend this racket for either style stroke. If you are a mid to

After playing with it
for some time now, i can say it is one of the most solid rackets on the
market now. It has a lot of power, if you can swing fast. However, it is
punishing on off-center shots, especially when you are tired and dont
get your foot work right. A great fit for 4.0 and above.
Babolat Pure Storm GT
The Babolat Pure Storm
GT Tennis Racquet is an improved model of the older Pure Storm from the
Babolat line
of racquets. The racquet features the new GT
technology which provides added strength and stability to the frame,
replacing the old Carbon
XTrem material. The Woofer
technology on the grommet sides of the racquet allows the strings to move with
a more responsive feel, creating a trampoline effect that prolongs the ball
dwell time for increased control and less shock. The Pure Storm GT performs with
adept versatility for an all out court action from baseline to net approaches.
We recommend the Babolat
Pure Storm GT Tennis Racquet for intermediate and advanced player (3.5+
NTRP). The racquet provides a higher end feel and maneuverability. The 98
square inches head size provides ample access to control, which is further
elevated from the racquet’s head-light weight distribution. All in all, the
racquet is perfect for players looking for a good mix of control and
maneuverability in a easy to manage frame. Check out the new Babolat
Pure Storm GT Tour for a heavier, more control oriented variation.

User: Garmond, texas

Wow, what can I say,
Babolat makes great rackets! My oldest son started playing tennis more
seriously and made the jr. high team so I finally had someone to hit
with regularly after a dry spell of many years. I demoed the
AeroProDrive GT, Pure Drive GT, and a few flavors of the new Head Youtek
Speeds. I loved the Babolats and just by chance tried the PureStormGT
and loved it. It doesnt quite have all the hype around it as the other
two Babolats but it sure plays well. The added control allowed me to
take fuller swings and put the ball where I wanted. The solid feel is
great too. The other two Babolats had great qualities too and it was
hard to decide but in the end I think the PureStormGT was the right
decision- I like it alot. My son bought the PureDriveGT and loves it.
Babolat Aero Storm GT
The Aero Storm GT is an update of the Babolat Aero Storm and
weapon of choice for WTA Superstar Dinara Safina. Like its predecessor
the Aero Storm, the Aero Storm GT
is also control-oriented, allowing players to generate plenty of spin
from the baseline. At the net, the mobility of the racquet allows
players to move easily around the court to reach wide volleys and a
range of shots.
In contrast to the AeroPro line, the Aero Storm GT
sports a thinner beam to orient additional control for solid players.
The addition of GT technology utilizing braided carbon and tungsten
fibers provides players with even more precision, power, and feel over
the prior model. Cortex dampening and Woofer shock dissipation is still
among the priorities of the newer frame to ensure the continual smooth
feel from its line. The Aero Storm GT is a great option for a 4.0+ player looking for a frame to provide them with pinpoint accuracy and comfort.

Personal Experience
Like it’s heavier brother, the Aero Storm GT is a control player’s
delight with an arm and shoulder friendly swing weight (324). It’s
virtually identical to the Babolat Aero Storm Tour GT in every
specification, just a hair lighter.

That low weight makes the Babolat Aero Storm GT a great frame
for the aggressive baseliner looking to bash or those looking for a
serving frame that won’t have you running for the ice pack after a long
match. Feel players or Fabrice Santoro-wannabees will really like this
one, too. Groundies oozed with precision and spin was customarily solid,
as we’ve come to expect from Babolat’s spin-generating frames. Topspin
climbed to at least shoulder height with a good swing, and slices
hugged the ground at knee-scraping heights. Balls won’t explode into
total fuzz leftovers for non-power players with this frame. But those
not needing help in the power department would sure benefit from the
premium control features of this racquet, which employs the GT
(Graphite/Tungsten) braided technology. The Aero Storm GT racquet has a
bit more dampened feel than the Tour GT. And like its brother, the Aero
Storm really shines in the mobility department.
Those half volleys or quick on-the-rise pick-ups that tend to
be so problematic with those heavier sticks? They were a snap with
this frame. Recommended for 4.0 and up players with medium to fast
swingspeeds.

Great Racket
User: Debby, Missouri

Today was my first day
getting to use this racket. Every shot was clean and felt solid. The
grip that comes with the racket isn't ideal for me, because it feels
pasty, but adding an overgrip solves this tiny problem. This racket fits
my game well, and the extra weight compared to most rackets I've
handled makes me feel like it gives the ball more power. Definitely try
this racket out.
I don’t often play with a racquet this light, but the Aero Pro
Team GT made me revise my thinking about what lightweight frames are
capable of.
The all-new Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus gives you unprecedented power and spin with the new Active Cortex technology.
A new construction featuring a Cortex Damping System interface
highlights this year's newest Babolat models. Being a powerful frame, it
makes it the ideal weapon for big hitters who like to hit with heavy
spin as well. The Cortex System optimizes the overall feel for the ball
and gives every player the comfort level they want and need on every
shot. Babolat Woofer technology is also in place to enhance control and
sensation. Graphite and Tungsten (GT) Technology is located around the
head of the racquet for superior precision and reduced torque. Take your
game to the next level with the 2012 New Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus.

Fusing the past and the future, the Wilson Pro Staff Six-One 90 BLX
restores the Pro Staff name to the Roger Federer signature line while
providing yet another technological advance in feel. After the
introduction of BLX,
Wilson found that players of all levels were still looking for more
feel. In response to this, AmpliFeel was developed to assist the Basalt
fibers within the frame in delivering a pure feel at impact. The Pro Staff Six-One 90 BLX offers the ultimate in control to go along with the new found sensation. The way AmpliFeel
works is to replace some of the foam material of the handle pallet with
graphite and basalt plates in order to transmit only preferred
vibrational frequencies. Complementing the small head size is a solid 12
ounce unstrung weight and a very head light balance to provide both
stability and maneuverability for the all-court player. On court, our
testers found the same high level of control as the previous versions,
but with additional vibration dampening that was noticeable on
off-center hits. The open string pattern helped create a good amount of
spin from the back of the court while the firm flex provided some
surprising power from the smaller head size.

Babolat AeroPro Drive GT
This is one of the Racquets used by a lot professional tennis players such as Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Li Na. Etc
Wow! you know what happens when you braid tungsten fibers into a
graphite weave? Magic at least when it is used a tennis racket. This
stiffer version of the topspin friendly Aero Pro Drive is a significant
step forward for this frame. Unlike the small difference of the cortex
anti-vibration band addition in the previous update, this update makes a
big difference in the playing characteristics. The entire frame is
stiffer but it is especially more stiff in the upper head. This means a
little more power but a big gain in precision and feel without the loss
of the other great characteristics of the racket. It is also a great
help when you are at a full stretch hitting defensive shots.
This is where I feel the stiffness and feel changes really
shined on this frame. I love volleying with it. It provides adequate
touch and spin for consistent drop volleys on hard and clay courts. Good
pop to punch away high volleys. The light weight makes it very
maneuverable, great for rapid fire exchanges. A real dream at the net
compared to its predecessor. Half-volley pickups are easily controlled
and guided deep when necessary. There are a few rackets that may volley
a little better but this is a very good frame at the net.
Babolat AeroPro Team GT
A new addition to the Aero lineup as Babolat introduces the AeroPro Team GT.
Players will love the spin potential on this frame. The 16x19 open
string pattern combined with the unique Aero frame construction will
provide spin oriented players with an addiction for added spin,
especially baseline players who love to hit with lots of topspin. The
Cortex embedded shaft attunes in conjunction with Woofer crescent
moon shaped grommets to maximize string bed response and siphon away
discomforting vibrations to give Babolat fans the feel and comfort they
know and love.
The 10.4 ounce strung weight will allow the AeroPro Team GT to
be a perfect frame for junior players transitioning to an adult sized
frame as well as adult players in need of a highly maneuverable frame
from an aeromodular design with plenty of pop. The Aeropro Team GT will benefit players looking for more pace on serve and groundstrokes. The new GT technology from
Babolat combines a hybrid material of braided carbon and tungsten
fibers to reduce torque upon impact, resulting in cleaner, more powerful
and precise shots. The AeroPro Team GT is a frame we recommend for NTRP rating 3.5 and up players.Personal Experience
The new Aero Pro Team GT feels like a feather, weighing in at a
mere 9.9 ounces unstrung. But despite the low weight, it still hits like
a beast.

You’ll have no problem whipping this baby through the strikezone
on those rapid-fire reflex volleys or getting around on your teaching
pro’s big serve .
This racquet is ideal for beginners, women and young juniors
looking to find a frame they can wield effortlessly yet still hit out
on without becoming prime candidates for arm fatigue. Like many of the
other incarnations of the Aero Pro series, it’s got the mid-plus 100
square inch headsize and 16 x 19 string pattern, which makes it an ideal
spin candidate.
This racquet really spoke volumes at the net where its low weight and firm feel were put to excellent use in high putaways and quick back-and-forth exchanges. From the back of the court, this racquet still ploughed through the court with ease.
This racquet really spoke volumes at the net where its low weight and firm feel were put to excellent use in high putaways and quick back-and-forth exchanges. From the back of the court, this racquet still ploughed through the court with ease.
In the hands of a crafty spin maestro, this racquet could make
life miserable for opponents. The superior maneuverability of this

User: Joseph M. Jones, Illinois

I switched from the
Six.One Tour 90 BLX to this. I had Wilson Hollow Core strings at 58 lbs
tension. With the Pro Staff 90 I selected Babolot Pro Hurrican Tour 16g
strings at 52 lbs of tension. Day 1 - I was overhitting everything.
Day 2 - Used the lower string tension to my advantage to create a deeper
one handed backhand. With my forehand, if the ball is above my waist I
tend to jump up into the air and smash the shotit sounds weird but it is
as fast if not faster than my serve, and very accurate. I found using
this racquet gives me even more power than I had in my previous one.
Volleys- more touch. Overheads- more pop. Serve- more pop & spin.
Great feel and love the weight

Light 9.8 ounce strung weight, 22mm straight beam and 100 square inch headsize provide solid feel and control for the beginning to intermediate player. The open string pattern bites the ball with ferocity. This makes
it obvious why Rafa, Caroline Wozniacki, Francesca Schiavone chose this
as their frame. But the all court capability of this frame is why
someone like Jo-Wilfried Tsonga would choose it over the Pure Drive.
Over time this frame has evolved much like the player most often
associated with it, Rafael Nadal.
Spin, Spin, Spin and more Spin. I am a hard hitting heavy
topspin player so I am biased but I don’t think I have hit with another
racket that is more spin friendly. There are a few that are close (The
Head Youtek Speed Pro MP 16/19 comes to mind) but none that are more so
that I have play tested. This is especially true of the player frames.
What is better versus the earlier versions of the frame is that it is
more linear in response the older frame was a little tricky to use on
touch shots. It was a little like the opposite of what 3dO provides head
frames. It seem that the racket generated a little to much pop on touch
shots. Now things are different, it excels at everything off of the
ground. The sweetspot is very large and it responds well to off center
hits.
The moderate weight if the racket and its aerodynamic shape make
it easy to generate racket head speed at will. It may take a few
minutes to adjust to how fast this racket cuts thru the air if you are a
big hitter. I was enjoying pinning my hitting partner well behind the
baseline with balls hitting near the baseline and jumping up well over
six feet after bouncing. I was also able to hit biting slice backhands
quite well. That was an improvement over the earlier frame, which hit
defensive slice backhands well, but could be tricky hitting hard slice
backhands. The only thing that may bother users of thin beam frames is
that when you mis-hit, the wide frame will not be as forgiving. You can
pretty well guarantee that a mishit will not land in the court. But
hey, we aren’t supposed to be using the graphite as a hitting surface
right :)
Groundstroke rating A+
Groundstroke rating A+
With the spin racket speed and feel of this frame it is little
wonder it serves very well. It has excellent spin good power and
accuracy. If you have been using a heavy player frame before you may
need a few minutes to get you timing down. Once you adjust I think you
will like the feel of the frame. What stood out to me is that 3/4 pace
serves require very little effort to hit. In a long grueling duel on a
clay court that can be a godsend. You can hit all the spots in the box
if you have the serving skill, but even if you do not have great
technique you will have adequate serves with this frame.
This racket is a slice and kick servers dream, the spin and
moderate power are perfectly suited to this. Flat serves can really be
effective as well. I felt that I gained another 5 mph over the 90 sq
inch player frames.
This racquet’s stiffness and small sweetspot did not appeal to
me, as I like a more flexible racquet, but that’s just my opinion. If
you enjoy playing the net and blasting serves past your opponent, then
the (K)Surge may be what you’re looking for. Because its sweetspot is
